 New Children’s Hospital
 Westmead, NSW

Over the last 6 years, HPI has been responsible for 20 projects within the new Children’s Hospital, Westmead, Australia’s premier Children’s Hospital and designated centre of excellence. The current director of HPI Aladin Niazmand was originally the project Architect for the Children’s Hospital Clinical Services Block. Since completion close to 15 years ago, HPI has maintained and upgraded the Masterplan, whilst renovating and expanding as required for the clinical needs. Almost every section of the hospital has undergone some change, whilst maintaining the unique integrity of this important hospital (and winner of a Merit Award).

The recent projects within this hospital campus include:

- Emergency Department expansion for 80,000 + presentations P/A
- Burns Unit redevelopment and expansion
- Oncology unit redevelopment and expansion
- Operating Suite and Day Surgery expansion and reconfiguration
- Medical Imaging redesign and expansion
- Additional office space for various areas
- Ward reconfiguration for alternative models of care
- Education and research facilities
