HEALTH FACILITY BRIEFING SYSTEM Health Facility Briefing System (HFBS) is a web based toolkit for briefing and specifying Health Projects. HFBS is a service, not software. Users can Log onto the HFBS web site through a standard web browser, access comprehensive standards for Health Design and obtain ready made “Standard Components” including briefs and room layouts. Users can assemble detailed briefs, specifications and schedules on the web without any software, within a secure environment. They can save their work directly to the web and print richly formatted reports for project-specific use. All configuration and programming for HFBS is done in-house. The resulting brief can be queried for any item category, concept, size or function and results tabulated automatically. The system was designed in-house by HPI using advanced database techniques. This includes totally menu-driven selections and auto-infill of the required details. Only  basic information needs to be provided. Most importantly, the system was designed by those who practice in Hospital briefing and design rather than IT managers. The system automatically learns from every new project and makes the information available as menu categories for future projects.
