HPI Project Web Sites

Health Projects International is a pioneer in the use of Project Specific Web Sites and Web based Project Administration. HPI uses Project Specific Web Sites for all of its projects involving different consultants in remote locations. HPI originally collaborated with NSW Department of Public Works and Services (DPWS) to host the Tweed Heads Hospital project web site in 2000. This was a practical demonstration of techniques and technologies which will be commonplace in the near future. The issues considered and trialled include:

· Project "Portals"
· User group interaction
· Management, security and data control
· "Pull" rather than "push" technology
· Collaboration in "real" time
· Public relations vs Real business

HPI's project web sites are private and not accessible from this public site. The address and security provisions for these web sites are privately communicated to authorised persons (clients and consultants). For a private viewing of some of HPI's project web sites, please contact us by e-mail.

HPI Team Services

HPI Team Services is a series of techniques and technologies which complements the project web sites. It provides the equivalent of Intranet over Internet for use by the trusted consultants on projects involving numerous consultants. Access to the HPI Team Services is via specific password protected web pages. Consultants and other uses, depending on their level of security can upload, download and view original project documents. They can also open live documents from the web site, without first downloading to their computers.

The service also includes a chat facility, group diary, contact list and subscription services.

Access to HPI Team Services web site is communicated confidentially to the authorised consultants and project stakeholders.
